About The Position

The RN CDI Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for the CDI team, including onboarding, continuing education, and performance improvement initiatives. This role supports ongoing CDI quality, compliance, and best practice standards to ensure accurate clinical documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of CDI experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or foreign trained medical graduate.
• Current state of WI Registered Nurse license or current license from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Advanced certification related to CDI (CCDS, CDIP, or CCS).
• Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards, MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, coding guidelines, and CMS regulations.
• Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in education or leadership.
• Master’s degree.
• In lieu of BSN, an Associate’s degree in nursing and a Bachelor’s in a relevant field may be substituted.
