About The Position

The RN CDI Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for the CDI team, including onboarding, continuing education, and performance improvement initiatives. This role supports ongoing CDI quality, compliance, and best practice standards to ensure accurate clinical documentation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in CDI and 3 years in education or leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or foreign trained medical graduate is required. In lieu of BSN, an Associate’s degree in nursing and a Bachelor’s in a relevant field may be substituted. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards, MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, coding guidelines, and CMS regulations.
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills.
  • Current state of WI Registered Nurse license or current license from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Advanced certification related to CDI (CCDS, CDIP, or CCS) is required.
