About The Position

The RN Circulator is a registered nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for the surgical care of Center patients through the nursing process, in collaboration with other health care providers. The role monitors patients throughout the surgical process and supports safe, effective care in the operating room.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state RN license.
• CPR and ACLS required.
• Minimum of 2 years of operating-room experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients throughout the surgical process.
• Manage monitoring equipment, fluid lines, tubes, drains, and catheters as needed, including supporting the operative extremity.
• Use good judgment to determine appropriate nursing actions and maintain control in emergency situations.
• Successfully complete CPR/PALS/ACLS certification or recertification.
• Make independent clinical decisions as appropriate regarding patients’ nursing-care needs and communicate those decisions to appropriate personnel.
• Demonstrate a team-player attitude and use work time efficiently.
