About The Position
Texas Orthopedic Surgery Center at Austin is hiring an Operating Room Nurse to provide nursing care and service during surgical cases. The center has five operating rooms and one procedure room and performs outpatient orthopedic surgical procedures. The Circulating RN positions and prepares patients and circulates cases. The position requires weekday work only, with no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required, and the schedule may change based on the surgical schedule and daily workflow.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
- Active RN license in the state.
- BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification as required by the center.
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Circulator.
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and service during surgery cases.
- Position patients for surgery.
- Prepare patients for surgery.
- Circulate surgical cases.
