About The Position
Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This position is located at the Ambulatory Surgical Center in Frisco. The role involves providing professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and adolescents. These patients may have medical and surgical conditions, including orthopedic and neurological issues, as well as developmental disabilities. The role requires the ability to quickly assess and problem-solve complex situations, manage patient populations, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Hold current Texas RN license or is eligible for reciprocity and holds a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners to practice professional nursing
- Current BLS certification required
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates ability to quickly assess and problem solve complex situations
- Prescribes delegates and coordinates the nursing care, which cares for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age, adolescents, with both medical and surgical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions, as well as, children with developmental disabilities
- Case manages patient population
- Professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, for a designated time frame and provides quality care to these patients
- Assists in maintaining a clean, safe environment
