Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, active problem-solving skills, and the ability to delegate appropriately within the surgical team.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Perform the circulating nurse role—verifying patient identity and confirming the correct surgical intervention according to strict policies and safety protocols.
• Assemble and verify the functionality of all equipment, supplies, and instruments prior to the start of each procedure.
• Assist with safe, proper patient positioning and prepare the operative site following established clinical protocols.
• Monitor and ensure strict compliance with the principles of aseptic technique throughout the perioperative period.
• Maintain accurate, detailed patient care records and clinical forms to ensure a complete clinical history.
• Participate as a proactive team member to support optimal patient outcomes and exceptional patient experiences.
• Practice cost-containment by utilizing resources efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of care.
• Uphold patient privacy (HIPAA) and ensure all processes maintain strict compliance with healthcare regulatory agencies.
