About The Position

Holy Angels is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to coordinate nursing staff and provide resident care. The position works an 8-hour day shift Monday through Friday, with shifts listed as 8:30 p.m. and flexibility to work other shifts as needed. The nurse works in the staff floor-nurse ratio as needed, runs clinics, manages paperwork for residents’ complex care needs, and coordinates and teaches the CMA program.

Requirements

RN with charge nurse experience.
Current Louisiana RN license.
Current and valid driver’s license.
RN nursing degree.
Must be able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Must complete a drug screen, criminal background check, and driver’s license check.

Responsibilities

Support and coordinate the activities of nursing staff.
Work as a floor nurse each shift as needed.
Oversee the CMA program.
Facilitate the annual review of resident charts.
Assist with coordinating medical packets for each resident in accordance with state guidelines, as necessary and annually.
Assist with quality indicators.
Enter and track timely submission of resident-related paperwork.
Promote teamwork by encouraging communication and reporting problems and concerns to the Director of Nursing.
Demonstrate professional conduct, including accurate and legitimate billing and adherence to confidentiality, accounting, and HIPAA standards.
Run clinics and manage paperwork for residents’ complex care needs.
