About The Position
As a Registered Nurse, the RN Charge Nurse plays a pivotal role in ensuring residents’ health, comfort, and overall well-being. The role includes assessing resident conditions, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. The nurse also oversees and guides Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nurse Assistants in delivering quality care. The position is with Bethel, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, at 13 Parklawn Drive, Bethel, Connecticut. Requirements
- Valid state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill, with the ability to work with both.
- Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Oversee and guide Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) in delivering quality care.
