Requirements

  • Valid RN license.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
  • Freedom from illegal use of drugs.
  • Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
  • Not found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a healthcare-related setting.
  • Proficient in using nursing software.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional reasoning skills to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
  • Commitment to promoting residents' rights and dignity.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, nursing/Resident progress notes, and nursing procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from department heads, customers (Residents, family members, physicians, etc.), and the public.
  • Current state license to practice as a nurse.
  • Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certification in nursing specialty desired.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the holistic care of each resident within our facility.
  • Ensure continuity of quality care through effective communication with floor staff and the administrative team.
  • Conduct regular rounds to evaluate the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
  • Ensure resident needs are met through the dedicated team.
  • Assess the competency of staff in delivering care and implement necessary interventions.
  • Prepare and administer medications.
  • Consult with physicians.
  • Document care diligently as per facility protocols.
  • Review care plans and ensure adherence to them.
  • Participate in evaluations of team members.
  • Contribute to staff meetings and in-services.
