About The Position

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse Charge Nurse to join our Med Surg department for a Fulltime Nights position. This role will be based at Texas Health Fort Worth, specifically on the BU GI GU Surgical Unit. This unit is a 36-bed surgical unit caring for colorectal, gastrointestinal, and urology surgery patients. The unit will initially open with 20 beds and expand to 36 beds later in the year. Patients admitted to this unit are typically pre- or post-operative with an average length of stay of approximately five days. The position involves 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, and team members may be placed on call during census fluctuations.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• A high degree of confidentiality.
• Positive interpersonal skills.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• 2 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities
