About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Cath Lab Department at the Avita Galion Hospital. This role involves assisting in cardiac catheterization, vascular, and interventional procedures, including emergency procedures like IAB and temporary pacemaker insertion. The position may also contribute to NCDR registry reporting and quality initiatives, adhering to established standards of practice under the guidance of a credentialed invasive radiologist or cardiologist. The RN will participate in patient and family teaching and act as a patient advocate, upholding the facility's mission.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or graduate of a diploma, associate or baccalaureate academic program.
Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience in acute care/critical care environment.
Current BLS certification.
Currently licensure (as applicable).
Current ACLS certification

Nice To Haves

Previous Cath Lab experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in cardiac catheterization, vascular, and interventional procedures.
Perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedures such as IAB and temporary pacemaker insertion.
May assist in NCDR registry reporting, quality initiatives, and other compliance requirements for Cath Labs with ODH.
Follow established standards of practice under the direction of a credentialed invasive radiologist or cardiologist.
Participate in patient and family teaching.
Maintain role as patient advocate with a focus on the facility’s mission.
