About The Position

Temple University Hospital is a nationally respected teaching hospital on Temple University's bustling Health Sciences Center campus. The hospital provides a comprehensive array of healthcare services both basic and complex to patients from around the corner, across the country and around the world. As the chief clinical training site for the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, the hospital provides a dynamic environment for high-quality care, teaching, and cutting edge research. In collaboration with the patient/family, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team, the Case Manager facilitates the patient's progress through the acute episode of care in an efficient and cost effective manner. Monitors the level of care, initiating evidence based protocols and order sets according to the patients' admission diagnosis, influencing the progression of care, facilitating the patients' navigation through the acute care episode, and proposes an appropriate transition plan within 48 hours of admission. The Case Manager serves as an advocate for the patient and family throughout the entire acute episode of care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Required or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 1 year experience in acute care Case Management setting or Utilization Management at an acute care facility and/or insurance company in either UR or CM Required General Experience
  • General Experience and knowledge of InterQual criteria
  • PA Registered Nurse License Required
  • Multi State Compact RN License Required
