About The Position
The Registered Nurse on the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital provides direct nursing care to patients with cardiovascular concerns and conditions. The RN works collaboratively with caregivers and staff to support a positive experience for patients, families, and visitors before, during, and after treatment. The position is scheduled for days, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and includes on-call requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting, or licensed military RN experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- One year of OR experience.
- CNOR certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
