About The Position

This is a 6-week contract position for a Rapid Response RN in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Charleston, South Carolina. The role involves caring for up to 1-3 ICU patients, managing patients on ventilators and telemetry, performing bedside shift reports, and administering breathing treatments outside the ICU. The shift is nights, from 7 PM to 7 AM, with 48 hours per week.

Requirements

• Current RN license with 36 months experience, including one year in ICU
• Prior CVICU experience
• Ability to perform CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, and phlebotomy
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale

Responsibilities

• Care for up to 1-3 ICU patients
• Manage patients on ventilators and telemetry strips
• Perform bedside shift reports with each transfer of care
• Administer breathing treatments outside of the ICU
