RN - Cardiac Tele Heart Failure
About The Position
The Acute Care RN provides safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients with varying levels of acuity. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; coordinating with the interdisciplinary team; and supporting patients and families throughout their care journey. The 7S cardiac telemetry unit specializes in heart failure management. Nurses care for patients with Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs) and gain experience in advanced cardiac therapies. New graduate nurses can expect to begin VAD training after six months on the unit; experienced nurses receive VAD training after orientation.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Current Iowa RN license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- ACLS certification for units with telemetry monitoring.
- Complete Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
- Basic computer skills.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
