RN-Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab-Prep and Recovery
About The Position
Provide specialized pre- and post-procedure care for adult patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, structural heart, and interventional nephrology procedures in UW Health's nationally recognized Heart & Vascular program. Care for a diverse patient population in a 12-bed prep/recovery unit, utilizing strong intermediate care (IMC) assessment skills while preparing patients for procedures, recovering post-procedure patients, and caring for select higher-acuity patients, including STEMI and TAVR patients requiring extended recovery. Collaborate with an expert multidisciplinary team including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, anesthesiologists, cardiovascular technologists, and Cath Lab nurses to deliver safe, efficient, patient- and family-centered care. Requirements
- Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
- Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
- ACLS within 6 months Required

- Relevant RN Experience Preferred
- Relevant certification Preferred
