RN- Birthplace/OB (36/E/N)
About The Position
When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. This is a 36hpw position with shifts from 6:50p-7:20a, and includes working weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation. The Birthplace is a 12-bed, private room, labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum unit that includes a nursery staffed by obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, pediatricians, neonatologists and registered nurses. The Unit also has a 2 bed triage and 6 bed postpartum area. Registered nurses are required to demonstrate competent care of the patient in labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn advanced fetal monitoring, breastfeeding education, neonatal resuscitation certification, advanced life support certification, and the OR scrub and circulating roles.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- Labor and Delivery experience required
- Mother/Baby experience required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire
- NRP required upon hire
- Evidence of recent AWHONN EFM continuing education required upon hire
Nice To Haves
- OR Circulating & Scrub experience preferred
- Experience working in continuing care/special care nursery/NICU environment preferred
- Willingness to cross-train in continuing care/special care nursery/NICU environment required
