Fairview is looking for a Registered Nurse on the Birthplace Unit at our Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN. This role is a .6 FTE (48 hours every 2 weeks) working 12-hour night shifts, with every third weekend rotation. Variable weekday schedule. Free parking is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Birthplace at M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center offers a unique opportunity to care for families across the full continuum of maternal and newborn care in a collaborative, family-centered environment. Our newly renovated unit includes 6 Labor & Delivery rooms, 9 postpartum rooms, 2 OB triage rooms, Level 1 nursery, and an operating room within the department for cesarean births. Nurses on our unit are trained to provide care across the continuum of maternal-child health, including Labor & Delivery, postpartum and newborn care, pediatrics, OR circulating for cesarean sections, and PACU recovery following cesarean births. Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of OB/GYN physicians, pediatric nurse practitioners, CRNAs, registered nurses, and nursing support staff, with all nurses trained in lactation support and several holding Certified Lactation Consultant credentials. As part of M Health Fairview, we combine the personalized experience of community-based care with seamless access to specialty services and Fairview's NICU network when advanced neonatal care is needed.
