Requirements

  • Must hold a current license and be in good standing as a Licensed or Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
  • Must be CPR certified and have completed first aid training
  • Must have previous experience in nursing or other healthcare/medical fields
  • Able to problem-solve, think critically, and take immediate corrective action if patient well-being or care is in jeopardy
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with memory loss preferred, but not required
  • Previous management or leadership experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Develop care plans and participate in the review of care plans as requested
  • Provide nursing services in accordance with an established care plan
  • Make routine resident visits to assess and document physical and emotional status; implement any required nursing interventions
  • Assist residents to achieve and maintain the highest level of self-care and independence
  • Administer and maintain records of prescribed medications and treatments
  • Communicate pertinent information to supervising RN, physicians, family, and/or other appropriate personnel
  • Accurately complete admission, weekly, follow-up, and discharge charting
  • Provide support, assistance, direction, and supervision to other nursing and support staff as needed
  • Maintain positive and effective communication and relationships with the patients and their families
  • Other duties as assigned
