AHMG Hematology and Oncology at Winter Park 2100 Glenwood Dr., Winter Park, FL 32792 Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Provides supportive resources and education to patients and family members on treatment and side effects. Teaches patients and their families about treatment expectations and procedures. Completes necessary patient forms such as FMLA, disability, and letters of medical necessity. Assists the benefits team in obtaining authorizations for chemotherapy and infusion-related treatments. Facilitates communication by answering voicemails, emails, texts, and Microsoft Teams messages. Develops and implements individualized care plans for patients, coordinating various aspects of oncologic patient care. Triages and treats cancer-related issues, including administering and monitoring chemotherapy treatments. Inputs chemotherapy treatment orders as per the ordering physician and coordinates treatment appointments with the infusion center. Monitors patient adherence to oral chemotherapy medications and all other medications ordered by the physician.

Requirements

  • Port Flush [Required]
  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
  • 1+ oncology experience [Required]

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) [Preferred]
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
  • 1+ inpatient oncology , icu or pcu experience [Preferred]
  • 1+ physician office experience [Preferred]
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) [Preferred]
