About The Position

The ACE Unit (Acute Care of the Elderly) is an 8-bed, medical/surgical unit providing care to older adults with an acute illness that requires hospitalization. This unit offers general medical, surgical, and telemetry care, with a special focus on patients experiencing a recent decline in function or a recent change in cognition and behaviors that place them at high risk for falls. Preference will be given, by seniority, to qualified nurses displaced within the 18 months prior to this posting, according to MNA contract section 9.4 (f)(1).

Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts RN License
  • Evidence of Continuing Education
  • Current Telemetry experience or able to pass Telemetry Competency Exam within 90 days of beginning position.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification
