About The Position

The RN Acute Care Medicine Specialties position provides direct patient care in specialty acute care (medical-surgical) units with moderate to high patient acuity. The registered nurse practices at the top of scope using the nursing process, evidence-based care, and a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. The role prioritizes wellness and the patient perspective, supports safety and quality at the point of care, and contributes to a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment. Nurses may model proficiency by precepting people new to healthcare or UCHealth. Unit care models incorporate AMSN core curriculum and specialty certification standards. Clinical educators provide individualized specialty education and training, with competency validation during clinical orientation. This is an onsite PRN position at UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, Colorado, with rotating day and night shifts. The schedule is 0.00 hours per two-week pay period. Pay is $35.29–$54.71 per hour, dependent on relevant experience.

Requirements

State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
At least 6 months of RN nursing experience.
Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if the applicant has less than 3 years of experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification; BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must be held, with the card in hand, before the start date and remain valid through 60 days of hire. Renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.
Any relevant life support certification determined at the position level.
