About The Position

To provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families. This role involves utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care that incorporates the mind, body, and spirit, consistent with current safety standards. The position requires active communication with the care team, problem-solving, and effective utilization of resources. The nurse will also be responsible for documenting care, acting as a resource for staff, and potentially serving as a preceptor/teacher for other nurses. Additionally, the role involves establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and families, providing age-appropriate education, and coordinating transfer and discharge planning.

Requirements

• Graduate of nursing school.
• 1 Year clinical experience (RNs with less than 12 months experience will complete the new grad requirements).
• California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Perform safe nursing care for patients in more complex situations with some assistance and supervision.

• May assume the responsibility of relief charge nurse and may assist with preceptorship/professional development of new nurses and students.
