Amentum is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Risk Mitigation Specialist/Officer. The role involves preparing, implementing, and overseeing routine to moderately complex Risk Management Strategies (RMSs) that address risk indicators. These RMSs must meet quality standards, convey chosen treatments for each risk indicator, provide rationale, and detail any residual risk requiring outside action. The specialist will manage a portfolio of companies under mitigation, provide technical direction on business and security risks, mitigation measures, and residual risks to various stakeholders, and coach/mentor less experienced Risk Management Officers (RMOs). Responsibilities also include conducting peer reviews, identifying areas for improvement in workflow and product format, managing workloads with appropriate suspense dates, monitoring completion status, and realigning work as needed. The role requires managing competing priorities, monitoring individual metrics against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), preparing performance metrics for supervisors, and responding to information requests from government customers. Participation in conferences and meetings to brief on risk management is also expected. The contractor must process NISP, DESP, or Section 847 risk management actions, conduct analysis under government oversight, produce written products within specified time intervals, and maintain existing implemented strategies. Workload management and the production of RMSs and Source Packages (SPs) based on reviews of DCSA all-source products, open-source research, company-submitted materials, and government databases are key functions. Some locations may require local travel within the U.S. The role requires working both independently and with teams.
