About The Position

This vital role leads key capabilities across Risk Analytics & Insights, Risk Systems & Tools, the ISP Safety Program, Risk Management, and Special Projects. It also provides leadership across multi-site strategic initiatives, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity. The position drives a standardized, risk-based operating framework across Global Facilities Operations (GFO), enabling proactive identification and mitigation of operational and safety risks across a complex network of sites, functions, and Integrated Service Providers (ISPs). Through centralized oversight and advanced analytics—including AI-enabled capabilities—the role enhances enterprise visibility and decision-making. The Manager also supports the retirement of legacy solutions and the migration of existing and new digital tools to enterprise IS platforms and programs, ensuring scalability, standardization, and long-term sustainability. As GFO continues to grow in complexity, this role ensures alignment across sites by integrating risk analytics, strengthening ISP safety programs, and advancing crisis management and business continuity capabilities. This position represents a strategic investment in enhancing safety, improving operational resilience, and enabling data-driven decision-making across GFO and EOS. The role reports to the Director of Risk Management within Global Facilities Engineering.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 2 years of Risk Management, Safety, Business Continuity, or related field experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Risk Management, Safety, Business Continuity, or related field experience OR Associate’s degree and 8 years of Risk Management, Safety, Business Continuity, or related field experience OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Risk Management, Safety, Business Continuity, or related field experience

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of experience in biotech, pharmaceutical or regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of facilities, engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing operations
  • Experience with risk management frameworks, safety programs, and SIF risk reduction
  • Experience supporting business continuity and crisis management programs
  • Certifications (Preferred): DRII (CBCP) or equivalent Emergency/Crisis Management or Risk certifications
  • Risk management platforms (e.g., MetricStream or similar)
  • Power Automate, SharePoint, and dashboard/reporting tools
  • Emergency notification systems (e.g., Everbridge)
  • Data analytics, trend analysis, and visualization tools

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership across multi-site strategic initiatives, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity.
  • Drives a standardized, risk-based operating framework across Global Facilities Operations (GFO), enabling proactive identification and mitigation of operational and safety risks across a complex network of sites, functions, and Integrated Service Providers (ISPs).
  • Enhances enterprise visibility and decision-making through centralized oversight and advanced analytics—including AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Supports the retirement of legacy solutions and the migration of existing and new digital tools to enterprise IS platforms and programs, ensuring scalability, standardization, and long-term sustainability.
  • Ensures alignment across sites by integrating risk analytics, strengthening ISP safety programs, and advancing crisis management and business continuity capabilities.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of ISP safety programs across GFO sites.
  • Establish standardized safety governance, expectations, and accountability frameworks with ISPs.
  • Monitor safety performance through scorecards, dashboards, and governance forums.
  • Drive Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF) risk reduction strategies focused on high-risk activities.
  • Ensure consistent incident reporting, escalation, and investigation processes across the network.
  • Develop and operationalize risk-based performance indicators to monitor safety and operational risk across GFO.
  • Analyze cross-functional datasets to identify emerging risks, systemic issues, and leading indicators.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights to support executive decision-making and prioritization.
  • Continual enhancement of predictive risk models to improve early detection and prevention capabilities.
  • Support the retirement of legacy solutions and the migration of both existing and new digital tools to new enterprise IS platforms and programs.
  • Lead evaluation and optimization of risk management platforms, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and alignment across enterprise risk systems.
  • Identify capability gaps and drive implementation of scalable solutions to enhance risk visibility.
  • Streamline workflows through automation and system integration to reduce manual effort.
  • Develop integrated risk intelligence capabilities combining safety, financial, and operational data.
  • Identify trends, correlations, and systemic risks to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting on key risks, performance gaps, and mitigation opportunities.
  • Enable proactive monitoring through advanced dashboards and data visualization.
  • Lead cross-functional, multi-site initiatives focused on risk reduction, safety improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop business cases, define success metrics, and ensure delivery of measurable outcomes.
  • Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership in stakeholder alignment, change management, and program execution.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and execution of crisis management and business continuity programs.
  • Coordinate and support Incident Management Teams (IMTs) during critical events.
  • Align crisis response protocols, communication strategies, and escalation processes across sites.
  • Lead and participate in tabletop and full-scale exercises to validate organizational readiness.
  • Support Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and recovery planning for critical operations.
