About The Position

The Risk Analyst will facilitate the placement of select commercial insurance programs, working with a broad range of internal teams and broker and carrier partners. The Risk team develops evolving insurance solutions to address Lyft’s exposures. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial insurance and the ability to work in a dynamic, growing team. The role is hybrid, with employees expected to work in the office three days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Hybrid employees may work from anywhere for up to four weeks per year.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in property and casualty insurance at an insurance carrier, broker, or in a risk management role.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Insurance, or a related field.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to balance attention to detail with a fast-paced work environment.
Passion for Lyft and ridesharing.
Highly innovative.

Responsibilities

Manage or assist with renewal cycles for select commercial insurance programs.
Advise internal teams as an insurance subject matter expert on potential risks and insurance coverage requirements for company initiatives.
Maintain relationships with broker and carrier partners.
Review and negotiate insurance terms in contracts.
Document and track coverage structures and rates.
Provide administrative support for insurance programs, including certificates of insurance, renewal submissions, policy and form reviews, and stewardship meetings.
