A day in the life. As a Risk Analyst on the Commercial Lines team , you’ll begin building your skills in property and casualty insurance. In this entry-level role, you will gain an understanding on how insurance programs are crafted to meet the unique needs of our clients. You’ll work with Producers, Marketing Account Executives, and Account Managers in the preparation for and execution of placing and servicing insurance coverages on both new and renewal business. You’ll learn the essentials, from issuing certificates to addressing accounting issues to negotiating with carriers. You’ll assist in client presentation preparations and coordinate with internal parties, in an effort to get the best possible outcome for McGriff clients. This role provides exposure to many roles within the organization to help identify long term career paths and future development.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Relevant insurance industry education, training, or experience
  • Property and Casualty insurance license
  • Basic insurance knowledge with a strong desire to learn and achieve insurance designations such as Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), INS, Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), (Certified Risk Manager) CRM, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)) or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market

Nice To Haves

  • College degree or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Insurance industry certifications in addition to necessary license
  • Significant prior insurance industry experience and knowledge of carriers and markets

Responsibilities
