About The Position

We are looking for a RISC Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the Residual Market Underwriting team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with information, learning new systems, and supporting a team that helps businesses secure insurance coverage. R.I.S.C. stands for Residual Insurance Servicing Carrier. In this role, you'll gain exposure to commercial insurance operations while developing valuable skills in underwriting, customer service, research, and business administration. You'll work closely with experienced underwriting professionals and play an important role in supporting policy servicing, regulatory requirements, and customer communications. As a RISC Assistant for Underwriting, you'll help keep our underwriting operations running smoothly by: Supporting underwriting processes through administrative and operational tasks, Preparing and submitting forms, reports, and documentation required by various state insurance bureaus, Assisting with policy reviews and underwriting-related research, Managing requests related to loss prevention activities and follow-up actions, Drafting and distributing correspondence to agents, policyholders, regulatory agencies, and internal partners, Conducting online research to gather information that supports underwriting decisions, Maintaining organized electronic records and documentation, Monitoring work queues and managing multiple assignments to meet deadlines, Providing excellent service to both internal and external customers, Collaborating with teammates to achieve departmental goals, Learning insurance processes, systems, and compliance requirements through on-the-job training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior experience required; training will be provided on the job
  • Interest in learning research, investigative, and insurance-related processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technology.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

Responsibilities
