About The Position

Be the face of the fun at the ice rink! Join Boise Parks and Recreation as a Rink Supervisor where you'll help create a great experience for every guest. In this role, you'll lead operations at the skate rental counter, provide exceptional customer service, assist with daily rink operations, and support the team wherever needed. This part-time, at-will position is open to applicants 18 years of age and older and works up to 19 hours per week. Requirements

• One year experience working with the general public in a customer service type setting.
• Knowledge of basic computer programs.
• Knowledge of general customer service techniques.
• Knowledge of basic hockey and figure skating equipment.
• Knowledge of ice rink operations.
• Ability to interact with the general public and effectively handle complaints.
• Ability to operate skate sharpening and repair equipment.
• Ability to make simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public and other organizations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely fashion.
• Ability to understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations.
• Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Ability to perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Applicants must be able to pass a City of Boise background check processes which includes a criminal history check and reference checks in accordance with the City of Boise Hiring Process Regulation.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Acts as a lead to employees assigned to the skate rental counter.
• Provides a high level of customer service to customers.
• Performs cash handling duties.
• Performs regular janitorial duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
