About The Position

Legends Global Destination El Paso is seeking a Seasonal Event Manager to oversee El Paso’s outdoor ice rink and festival at Convention Center Plaza in downtown from November 2025 to January 2026. The Rink Manager will be responsible for overseeing operations including managing staff, skate pass sales, skate rentals, ice rink operations, greeting patrons, handling customer issues, special feature operations, and daily setup and cleanup.

Requirements

Exceptional customer service REQUIRED
Must be 18 years of age
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must be available to work 20 – 40 hours a week between November 1, 2026, and January 17, 2027
Must work nights, weekends, and holidays
Computer savvy, familiar with Microsoft Outlook

Responsibilities

Manage full ice rink staff
Oversee skate pass sales
Oversee skate rentals
Oversee ice rink operations
Greet patrons and handle customer issues
Oversee special feature operations
Perform daily set up and clean up
Oversee the operation of the rink area
Manage opening and closing procedures for The Rink
Assign staff to their shift positions and monitor performance
Ensure safety protocols are followed
Coordinate with Leads and other staff
Troubleshoot customer issues and manage escalations
Report daily rink attendance numbers
Time-keeping of Seasonal Staff
Managing customer service of staff on shift
Ensure and maintain a clean and organized area for patrons
Manage supply inventory
Perform ticket sales, skate rentals, Greeting, Ice Rink & Special Features Operations and daily set up and clean up
Answer and appropriately respond to customer needs
Communicate with internal departments to address critical needs
Perform other duties as assigned
