About The Position

Best-One Tire & Service is seeking a dependable, motivated Rim Reconditioning/Powder Coating Technician for its St. Louis Retread location. This hands-on role involves inspecting, cleaning, preparing, and reconditioning rims; applying and curing powder coatings; moving materials; and operating a forklift and production equipment. The technician is expected to work safely and efficiently, take initiative, stay organized, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Forklift skills.
• Ability to twist and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently while remaining a dependable team member.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take on a physically active role.
• Positive attitude and commitment to working safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rims for visible damage, rust, corrosion, and defects.
• Clean and prepare rims for reconditioning.
• Remove old coatings, rust, and debris using blasting and other approved surface-preparation equipment.
• Prepare, apply, and cure powder coatings according to established procedures to create a consistent, durable finish.
• Load, unload, move, and organize rims and materials throughout the warehouse and production area.
• Safely operate forklifts, blasting equipment, powder-coating equipment, and other tools needed for the job.
• Manage daily tasks, stay organized, and maintain a steady workflow to meet production goals.
