About The Position

We are specifically looking for candidates with experience operating large forklifts (15K to 35K) and/or cranes. Experience with just forklifts or just cranes is acceptable, and no certifications are required. Additionally, we are seeking very mechanically inclined individuals with experience using chain hoists, shackles, and slings. Experience as a Mechanical Fitter or with tooling is considered a bonus. A Mechanical Fitter with some forklift experience could also be a good fit. This role may involve occasional overtime. The plant environment is not climate-controlled but is equipped with large fans. The position requires maintaining a positive attitude towards plant targets and objectives related to accountability and safety. Responsibilities include operating a forklift and potentially an overhead crane using hand-held controls safely, working with the shipping team to move parts according to business needs, reading blueprints, installing copper and aluminum, and using hand tools and torque wrenches. The role also requires the ability to consistently and safely lift 50+ lbs.

Requirements

• Experience with large forklifts (15K to 35K) and/or cranes.
• Experience with Chain Hoists, Shackle, and Sling.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. consistently / safely.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use hand tools and torque wrenches.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical Fitter experience.
• Tooling experience.
• Some forklift experience if also a Mechanical Fitter.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.
• Operate a Forklift and possibly an overhead crane in a safe manner using hand-held controls.
• Work with the shipping team to ensure that parts are moved in accordance with business needs.
• Read blueprints to install copper and aluminum.
• Use hand tools and torque wrenches.
• Lift 50+ lbs. consistently / safely.
• Provide troubleshooting.
• Document/report all production quality requirements and any performance gaps.
