About The Position

Job Purpose: To provide a safe and enjoyable experience to Zoo Atlanta’s Members and guests on all rides and attractions.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must have weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)
• Must be comfortable working 30+ feet in the air (Treetop Trail)
• 16 years or older
• Ability to understand and use a harness properly (Zoo Atlanta will provide this training)
• Comfortable being in close proximity to people of all ages and genders
• Must be friendly, outgoing and approachable
• Must be able to multi-task and pay close attention to details
• Zoo Atlanta is open to the public 363 days out of the year; therefore, all positions at Zoo Atlanta may require employees to work some weekends, holidays and evenings

Nice To Haves

• Multi-lingual a plus

Responsibilities

• Must be able to safely and efficiently operate all rides and attractions including the Zoo train, Wild Explorer (the 360° virtual reality experience) and Treetop Trail and Treetop Tykes (ropes courses)
• Responsible for maintaining the highest level of safety in the work area by complying with all safety protocols and procedures
• Outfit participants in climbing harnesses and make the needed adjustments to fit their body (Treetop attractions/ropes courses)
• Attend mandatory training and meetings
• Maintain positive working relationships and communication with all Zoo Atlanta teammates
• Must be willing to support Zoo Atlanta’s Vision, Mission, and Values
• Perform any other miscellaneous projects/assignment assigned by Zoo Atlanta’s management team
• Must pass practical and written tests from RCI (the company who created our ropes courses)
