Rf Systems Engineer
About The Position
This customer-oriented technical role is part of the Aerospace Defense Government Solutions team, which provides mission-critical instrumentation, solutions, and services to government agencies, prime contractors, and the aerospace and defense supply chain. The team’s solutions support applications including electromagnetic spectrum operations, space and satellite, and military communications. The engineer develops custom test systems and solutions for customers in the aerospace and defense industries. The delivery process includes gathering and analyzing requirements, designing and building solutions, testing them, and delivering them to customers. The role integrates products and services into customer environments, verifies that solutions meet specifications and function properly at customer sites, and provides technical guidance during the sales process. Work may be product- or technology-focused and requires design experience. The engineer may also assist with pre-sales proposals and provide customer training, consulting, post-sale training, and support. Test requirements range from DC to RF signals, with a general focus on RF and other high-frequency applications. The position determines and develops approaches to system and application engineering service assignments.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for implementing products and services for customers.
- Understand customer problems, recommend solutions, and support customer satisfaction.
- Integrate products and services at the system or solution level into customer environments.
- Ensure solutions meet specifications and function properly at customer sites.
- Develop custom test systems and solutions for aerospace and defense customers.
- Gather and analyze requirements; design, build, test, and deliver solutions.
- Contribute technical guidance to the sales process and assist with pre-sales proposals.
- Provide customer training, consulting, post-sale training, and support as needed.
- Determine and develop approaches to system and application engineering service assignments.
