RF PDK LVS Development Engineer - Design Enablment
About The Position
GlobalFoundries is a full-service semiconductor foundry offering design, development, and fabrication services, with manufacturing operations spanning three continents. The RF PDK LVS Development Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the Layout Versus Schematic (LVS) component of Process Design Kits (PDKs) for GlobalFoundries RF technologies. The role includes modeling semiconductor fabrication processes in PEX solutions to support high-quality design enablement. The engineer collaborates with EDA tool vendors and cross-functional engineering teams, addresses customer-reported issues, and contributes to LVS methodologies, flows, quality standards, validation, and automation. The role also involves coordinating PDK deliverables with stakeholders and complying with applicable Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements. US-based applicants are preferred. The position may require applying for a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance if requested.
Requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of the semiconductor field.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in Physical Verification and LVS (Layout Versus Schematic).
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the semiconductor industry, EDA, or a related engineering field.
- Experience with AI automation.
- Previous experience with GlobalFoundries and/or RF technologies.
- US-based applicants are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop design components for PDKs.
- Develop and maintain the LVS component of PDKs for GlobalFoundries RF technologies.
- Model and accurately represent semiconductor fabrication processes within PEX solutions.
- Collaborate with EDA tool vendors to support LVS development, resolve technical issues, and drive improvements.
- Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues related to LVS PDK components.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver LVS solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
- Develop and support automation solutions to improve LVS development, validation, quality assurance, and engineering productivity.
- Contribute to the development, validation, and enhancement of LVS methodologies, flows, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to program-manage PDK deliverables for GlobalFoundries RF technologies.
- Perform work safely and support Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements and programs.
