RF PDK LVS Development Engineer - Design Enablment
About The Position
GlobalFoundries is a full-service semiconductor foundry providing design, development, and fabrication services to technology companies, with manufacturing operations spanning three continents. The RF PDK LVS Development Engineer develops and maintains the Layout Versus Schematic (LVS) component of Process Design Kits (PDKs) for GlobalFoundries RF technologies. The role includes modeling semiconductor fabrication processes in PEX solutions, supporting customer enablement, collaborating with EDA tool vendors, and improving automation and quality. The engineer works with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver and program-manage PDK deliverables that meet customer and business requirements. The role also requires performing activities safely and responsibly and supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. Requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of the semiconductor field.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in Physical Verification and LVS (Layout Versus Schematic).
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the semiconductor industry, EDA, or a related engineering field.
- Experience with AI automation.
- Previous experience with GlobalFoundries and/or RF technologies.
- US-based applicants are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop design components for PDKs.
- Develop and maintain the LVS component of PDKs for GlobalFoundries RF technologies.
- Model semiconductor fabrication processes within PEX solutions to support accurate, high-quality design enablement.
- Collaborate with EDA tool vendors on LVS development, technical issues, and continuous improvements.
- Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues related to LVS PDK components.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver LVS solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
- Develop and support automation to improve LVS development, validation, quality assurance, and engineering productivity.
- Contribute to the development, validation, and enhancement of LVS methodologies, flows, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to program-manage PDK deliverables for GlobalFoundries RF technologies.
- Perform all activities safely and responsibly and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
