In this role, you will be a key member of the RM modeling system engineering team working on modem systems features and requirements.

Requirements

  • BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
  • Deep knowledge of signal processing and communication systems
  • Strong analytical skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation, etc.)
  • Experience with Matlab, C/C++, Python for algorithm development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI/ML applications in wireless communication is strongly desirable.
  • Strong background in AI/ML and familiarity with the tools such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with RF impairments (phase noise, DC offset, IQ imbalance, inter-modulation, etc), their impact on modem performance, and RF mitigation techniques.
  • Knowledge of RF/analog components (LNA, filters, mixers, ADC/DAC), digital front-end processing, automatic gain control.
  • Knowledge of cellular communication standards: 5GNR, 4G LTE.
  • Knowledge of RF systems and design flows with hands-on experience in lab testing & characterization.

Responsibilities

  • Model, design, and simulate state-of-the-art RF for 4G/5G/6G modem wireless communication systems.
  • Implement system models and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign-off.
  • Collaborate with RF systems and analog circuit designers to capture designs and develop models.
  • Develop AI/ML modem solutions and mitigation techniques.
