  • Must have hands-on experience with complex RF measurement equipment, including power meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, field strength meters, etc.
  • Experience with RF/uW generators and sources, impedance matching networks, transmission lines, and antennas.
  • Technical working experience across 100 kHz to 100 MHz frequency ranges, from single-watt to kilowatt power levels, and high-voltage DC delivery.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage (>10 kV) and high-current (>100 Arms) design rules, including arcing, tracking, thermal considerations, and parasitics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to drive functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with semiconductor capital equipment or related industrial equipment.
  • Experience with RF simulation suites, including SPICE, ADS, LabVIEW, Mathcad, MATLAB, and analysis tools (e.g., HFSS, COMSOL, Maxwell).
  • Appreciation for learning and understanding challenges and limitations within other disciplines related to system designs.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards, including SEMI, NFPA 79, NEC, UL, EN, IEC, ETG, etc.
  • Willingness to travel to international locations.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, as well as other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications.
  • Determines design approaches and parameters, analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results.
  • Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability, and may also review vendor capabilities to support product development.
  • Performs professional electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of electrical and electro-mechanical systems and subsystems.
  • Works with a multidisciplinary engineering design team—including electrical, mechanical, software, process, technical support, and suppliers—on the design and modification of custom and OEM embedded system components.
  • Prepares and analyzes test plans and procedures to ensure technical and operational requirements are met and properly demonstrated.
  • Collects and analyzes pertinent material and data in preparation for presentations at design, project, and program reviews.
  • Responsible for the design/selection, testing, and documentation of RF delivery systems.
