RF Engineer

CACI•Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

About The Position

CACI is seeking an RF Engineer to work with the Army’s signal intelligence research and development engineering team. The role focuses on applied RF research, experimental modeling, and empirical validation to develop solutions for national security challenges. The engineer will use bench instrumentation such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes to evaluate RF front ends, antennas, and mixed-signal architectures, troubleshoot hardware, and analyze test data to optimize wireless systems under real-world conditions. The position involves developing predictive models and simulations, characterizing RF components, and correlating laboratory and field measurements with system models. Work takes place in RF benchtop laboratories, anechoic chambers, and field environments, including antenna measurements and outdoor propagation experiments. A current TS/SCI clearance and at least seven years of previous work experience are required. The position is full-time and regular, with up to 10% travel within the continental United States.

Requirements

  • Current TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Seven years of previous work experience.
  • RF characterization engineering experience.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with antenna gain measurements and beam patterns.
  • Experience using an anechoic chamber.
  • Strong understanding of RF modulation types.
