About The Position

An exciting opportunity exists for a college graduate to join our RF/Microwave Engineering Team at Raytheon. These departments develop, design, test and manufacture compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications. We research, develop, design, and integrate electrical (Analog, Power, RF/Microwave, and Digital) components, embedded and digital signal processing software, equipment, systems, sub-systems, and networks for the defense of domestic and foreign purposes. As member of our team you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of systems and equipment from receivers, exciters and processing electronics and communications systems that support multiple Radar programs. Some of the programs our department supports include Global Patriot and Early Warning Systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical design and development, an eagerness to learn, the ability to work 100% onsite and collaboratively in a team, and an interest in complex, real-time, critical systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
Experience/coursework in one or more of the following: RF/microwave, Analog, Digital Electronics, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, Electromagnetics
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

Lab experience specific to RF/microwave device and circuit measurements
Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.
Experience with any of the following software: Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics’ Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, JMP
Good written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

Perform fixtured and on-wafer probe measurements
Assemble RF/microwave/millimeter-wave test systems
Use software to control test equipment and plot test results
Support the MMIC and module design teams
Integration and test of Digital, Analog, and RF components and modules.
Circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation maintenance, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification.
Work as part of a team to analyze Hardware / Firmware test requirements / specifications to determine Hardware and Firmware requirements.
Develop solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements.
Interact with test technicians, factory facilitators, operations managers, other engineers, Quality Assurance and Reliability personnel.
Design of RF microwave components and phased array applications
Integration and test of component level and system level phased array hardware
