About The Position

The RF Design Engineer develops, designs, models, and tests radio-frequency transmitter and receiver circuit subsystems as part of multidisciplinary teams responsible for integrated product designs. The role includes designing, developing, and testing power amplifiers, receivers, VCOs, and PLLs. The initial assignment is to develop an RF circuit for next-generation infrastructure products operating in the VHF through 900 MHz bands. Other assignments may include supporting field issues or end-of-life components associated with RF circuits on legacy products. The engineer works with other engineers, suppliers, and the factory during product development. The role calls for RF circuit knowledge, basic power amplifier knowledge, an understanding of communication theory, and an interest in hands-on circuit building and debugging. Some travel may be required, although the posting lists no travel requirements.
