Take ownership of the design process across multiple projects, managing in-house RF network designs, testing, and documentation. The role is responsible for macro and in-building 5G/4G system design and planning, including carrier-specific, neutral-host, and private cellular network designs using DAS, small-cell, and FWA radio technologies. Develop coverage and capacity solutions for indoor and outdoor locations, including sports venues, campuses, shopping malls, hospitality, hospitals, office spaces, and transit systems. Responsibilities include location assessment; coordinating with field technicians to gather requirements; technology, OEM, and product selection; iBwave 3D modeling based on CW testing; Atoll CW propagation model tuning using different propagation models; link-budget and power analysis; LAN designs; and generating RF design and plumbing diagrams. Create customer deliverables such as link budgets, frequency plans, PCI plans, and propagation prediction maps, and provide network optimization feedback. Support field teams during site construction and commissioning to ensure builds conform to designs, troubleshoot RF path issues, and recommend optimization changes. Conduct site walks as needed and provide pre-sales support for solution ROM/BOM. Use simulation tools including ADS, HFSS, and CST to perform simulations and testing, ensuring designs are reliable, efficient, and meet performance standards. Apply expertise in RF circuit and system design to create designs that meet client requirements and specifications. Telecommuting is allowed. Domestic travel of 15% is required.
