About The Position

The RF/Analog Mixed Signal Design Engineer works on transistor-level IC design implementation for Apple Silicon across different technology nodes. The role is part of a hands-on development team designing custom analog circuits for Apple products, with collaboration across teams and an emphasis on engineering excellence, creativity, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong device physics knowledge as it applies to analog IC design.
  • A strong track record of delivering silicon IPs, including architecture, design, verification, and validation.
  • Solid understanding or experience with bandgaps, bias circuits, op-amps, switched-capacitor circuits, LDOs, low-power oscillators, PLLs, VGAs, and feedback and compensation techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge and analytical understanding of mixed-signal design techniques.
  • Experience with top-level verification methods that incorporate block-level schematics and behavioral models.
  • Experience with modeling in C, Matlab, VerilogA, or Python.
  • Hands-on experience using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators to validate analog designs.
  • Good knowledge of high-precision techniques in the presence of device mismatch.
  • Understanding of data converter architectures and design trade-offs.
  • Experience working with production test engineers to develop test plans and design-for-testability details.

Responsibilities
