RF/Analog/Mixed Signal Engineer

Apple•Sunnyvale, CA

About The Position

The RF/Analog Mixed Signal Design Engineer works on transistor-level IC design implementation for Apple Silicon across different technology nodes. The role is part of a hands-on development team creating custom analog designs that connect Apple products to the physical world and help optimize product performance. The team emphasizes engineering excellence, creativity, innovation, and collaboration across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong device physics knowledge as applied to analog IC design.
  • Strong track record of delivering silicon IPs, with complete architecture, design, verification, and validation experience.
  • Solid understanding or experience in bandgaps, bias, opamps, switched-capacitor circuits, LDOs, low-power oscillators, PLLs, VGAs, feedback, and compensation techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge and analytical understanding of mixed-signal design techniques.
  • Experience with top-level verification methods incorporating block-level schematics and behavioral models.
  • Experience in C, Matlab, VerilogA, or Python modeling.
  • Hands-on experience using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators to validate analog designs.

Nice To Haves

  • Good knowledge of high-precision techniques in the presence of device mismatch.
  • Understanding of data-converter architectures and design trade-offs.
  • Experience working with production test engineers to produce test plans and design-for-testability details.

Responsibilities
