About The Position

This position is responsible for sorting and reworking questionable or rejected product, reporting to the Assembly Inspection Supervisor. Essential duties include inspecting parts (finished or in-process) for defects using visual assessment or mechanical instruments, sorting acceptable from unacceptable parts, and performing simple rework such as trimming tubing, adding orientation marks, or repositioning components to make products acceptable for shipment. Basic paperwork completion is also required.

• Ability to complete basic paperwork.
• Ability to meet productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts, finished or in-process, for defect using visual assessment or mechanical instruments such as simple gauges, flow-meters or other measuring devices.
• Sort the unacceptable from the acceptable.
• Rework: May trim tubing to correct size, add orientation mark using felt tipped pen, reposition component part or other simple adjustment to make product acceptable for shipment.
• Complete basic paperwork as required.
