About The Position

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Rework Inspector to join their team. This role involves sorting, packaging, and binding acceptable product, as well as identifying and understanding product defects. The inspector will use various tools for measurement and packaging, operate some machinery, and maintain a clean and safe work area. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, work in varying temperatures, and potentially work overtime and weekends. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with basic math and computer skills. Experience in industrial manufacturing and with computers and Excel is preferred.

• Ability to read and write
• Experience using computers and Excel
• Basic math skills
• Reasonable interpersonal skills
• Able to work as a team member with a diverse workforce
• Must be able to see different shades of color and patterns
• Willing to be trained to drive a forklift
• Wears proper PPE when and where required.

Nice To Haves

• Industrial manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Sorts, packages, and binds acceptable product.
• Uses tools such as calipers and tape measures to properly measure the product.
• Uses banding tools and band cutters to repackage the product.
• Understands schedules and daily reporting forms.
• Learns the different defects of the products.
• Stands for long periods.
• Works 8 hour shifts in varying temperatures inside and outside.
• Operates some machinery such as saws.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area, sweeping and dusting.
• Works overtime if needed and weekends.
• Wears eye protection, ear protection and protective shoe wear.
• Operates a forklift.
• Uses computer and RF gun.
• Other duties may be assigned.
