About The Position

This role is responsible for providing revenue management systems support for both Deal Manager and the newly defined Custom Pricing Process workflow technologies. Deal Manager is UPS’ Next Generation Pricing Platform used by UPS’ Select & Signature segments (US) and SMB (INTL) Sales and Pricing teams globally. The Custom Pricing Process supports larger V & S (US) and ENT (INTL) customers globally. This role works with business and IT stakeholder groups to design and develop new features and enhancements to both the applications and work flows as needed. This role creates training materials for Sales and Pricing users regarding updates, fixes, and enhancements to the application. This role hosts office hours for users focusing on best practices for using the application. This role requires close partnership across Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Revenue Management, and IT to translate business objectives into enhancements. Ideal candidates bring strong initiative, are passionate about building new pricing products, and are energized by solving complex problems on high-impact initiatives.

Requirements

  • Ability to breakdown and methodically solve complex problems with high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Understands customer and segment-based pricing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of rate design, pricing strategy, and monetization levers at UPS.
  • Understands rating & pricing implications across the entire customer journey, including account creation, discounting, quoting, shipping, and billing.
  • Manages multiple workstreams simultaneously while keeping work organized and on track.
  • Understands the U.S. and International Small Package pricing landscape.
  • Translates business goals into pricing logic and business requirements.
  • Communicates complex pricing concepts clearly for a variety of stakeholder groups.
  • Takes ownership of outcomes and drives progress independently.
  • Data Mining skills (Data Warehouse, CDP).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
