About The Position

Cherry Tree Dental is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Revenue Cycle Specialist to support its dental operations team. The role verifies patient insurance benefits and eligibility with insurance carriers, maintains insurance information in the practice management system, and manages aged accounts receivable claims to support timely reimbursement. The position is primarily remote but requires occasional travel to Cherry Tree Dental clinical sites and work locations. Candidates should be within a reasonable distance of Madison, Wisconsin. The assignment runs through March 2027.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of experience in dental or healthcare revenue cycle management.
Proficient in dental software or able to become proficient within 90 days.
Strong understanding of dental insurance verification and benefit structures.
Knowledge of claims submission and insurance billing processes.
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
Knowledge of insurance denial management and accounts receivable follow-up.

Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage limitations, and plan details directly with insurance carriers.
Accurately enter and update insurance information in the practice management system.
Review insurance plans to ensure correct coordination of benefits and policy information.
Monitor and work aged insurance claims to identify and resolve payment delays.
Follow up with insurance carriers regarding outstanding claims, denials, and reimbursement issues.
Research and resolve claim discrepancies, eligibility issues, and payer rejections.
Document account activity and communications in accordance with established procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams to obtain information needed for claim resolution.
Ensure compliance with payer requirements and organizational policies.
Assist with other revenue cycle projects and duties as assigned.
