Revenue Cycle Project Manager (Front, Middle & Back End – Epic Required) Contracted-6+ months | W2 | $90.00 per hour Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Project Manager with deep expertise across the full continuum of care—front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end revenue operations. This individual will lead complex initiatives focused on optimizing revenue cycle performance, improving workflows, and driving system enhancements within Epic.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (required)
  • 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience across front, mid, and back-end functions
  • Hands-on experience with Epic HB (Hospital Billing) and PB (Professional Billing)
  • Proven experience managing complex healthcare or IT projects
  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle metrics, workflows, and best practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Epic certification(s) in HB, PB, or related modules
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience with revenue cycle transformation or optimization initiatives
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and payer rules

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end revenue cycle projects spanning: Front-end: Scheduling, registration, insurance verification, authorization; Mid-cycle: Charge capture, coding, clinical documentation improvement (CDI); Back-end: Billing, claims management, denials, AR follow-up, and collections
  • Manage Epic-related implementations, upgrades, optimizations, and workflow redesigns (HB/PB focus)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables; ensure projects stay on scope, schedule, and budget
  • Identify revenue leakage opportunities and implement corrective strategies
  • Monitor KPIs such as DNFB, clean claim rate, denial rates, and AR days
  • Facilitate meetings, provide executive-level reporting, and communicate progress clearly
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and payer guidelines
