About The Position

Under the general direction of the Sr. Director of Revenue Cycle/HIT, the Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of Gardner Health Services’ Revenue Cycle and Billing functions for both Primary Care and Specialty Behavioral Health (SBH) programs. The Revenue Cycle Manager ensures the financial integrity and sustainability of revenue cycle operations through effective management of billing, coding, claims processing, denial management, collections, reimbursement optimization, compliance, and accounts receivable functions. This position plays a critical leadership role in supporting Gardner Health Services’ mission as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) by maximizing reimbursement, improving operational efficiencies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting access to high-quality, culturally competent healthcare services for underserved communities throughout Santa Clara County and the Bay Area. The Revenue Cycle Manager collaborates closely with Finance, Operations, Clinical Leadership, Compliance, Credentialing, Information Technology, and Program Management to develop and implement effective revenue cycle strategies and continuous process improvements across the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible healthcare revenue cycle, billing, or reimbursement experience required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience in healthcare billing or revenue cycle operations required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience working within a California Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), community health center, behavioral health program, or integrated healthcare environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing both Primary Care and Behavioral Health billing operations preferred.
